Burns Supper

Burns Suppers have been part of Scottish culture for over 200 years as a means of commemorating our best loved bard. Close friends of Burns started the ritual a few years after his death in 1793 as a tribute to his memory.

A Burns' Night supper must always begin with Rabbies' own Selkirk Grace: "Some hae meat and canna eat, And some wad eat that want it; But we hae meat and we can eat, And sae the Lord be thankit."
Also scheduled to appear are Denver and District Pipes & Drums, Rocky Mountain Highland Dancers, and the St. Andrew Scottish Country Dancers.

Kirkin o' the Tartan

One of the most stirring events on the calendar of the St. Andrew Society of Colorado is the Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan.

The Annual Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan will take place in Saint John’s Episcopal Cathedral

May 2nd, 2010

The Isle of Mull/St. Andrew Pipes & Drums and the City of Denver Pipe Band are scheduled to participate in the service. Saint John’s Cathedral is located at 14th Avenue and Washington Street, in Denver.

St. Andrews Ball

47th Annual St. Andrew Banquet and Ball

November 7th 2009

Location: Arvada Center for the Performing Arts, 6901 Wadsworth Blvd in Arvada

This year we are treated to an exiting menu with new tastes to feed your soul and new choices of beverages to quench your thirst, while the Rocky Mountain Highland Dancers, St. Andrew Scottish Country Dancers and the Colorado Isle of Mull/St. Andrew Pipes and Drums will be featured throughout the evening.

Live music will be provided for dancing following the program.
As always there will be exiting items in the Silent Auction.

Invitations will be mailed out in October, so keep your eyes open for it.
